RYA Marine Radio will provide you with the knowledge to use a marine VHF/SRC radio. Your training will be followed by an exam to gain your Radio Operators Licence and will take place at the end of the training day. Subjects covered include basic operation of your radio, important channels, words and phrases, the phonetic alphabet and distress calls.

Course pre-requisites: You must pre-register for your exam via the RYA website and bring your exam voucher with you. You must read RYA VHF Handbook prior to the start of the course (this will be provided when you book).

You will be required to book yourself onto the relevant RYA Marine Radio Short Range exam which can be found https://www.rya.org.uk/exams

Please note the exam is an additional cost made directly to the RYA

Refunds cannot be issued less than 14 days before the Training. You cannot reschedule a training session less than 14 days before the event.
