Success once again for Jean and Derek Simmons at the Classic & Vintage Racing Dinghy Association Championship held at Roadford Lake last weekend. Winning both the Slow Handicap class and the overall event, and sailing in their much loved and beautifully maintained classic Uffa Fox designed Albacore “Supersonic” sail number 6439. This is the 4th time in the last five years that Jean and Derek have won the event, an impressive record to be proud of. Prizes were presented by Linda Gardiner wife one if the founder members of the CVRDA, seen here presenting the trophy for the John Gardner memorial race (the long-distance race at the event)”
