Calling all Squadron13 sailors to the event that’s got something for everyone.
The British Youth Sailing (BYS) Regional Junior Championships is taking place right here at The Royal Torbay Yacht Club. The regional regattas encourage Juniors (under 16s) of all skill levels to participate in an action-packed and fun weekend on the water.
There are three levels of participation for Squadron 13 sailors
- Championship Fleet for RS Feva and RS Tera (this fleet will also include Toppers, Optimists ILCA 4)
- Coached Regatta Fleet for RS Feva (no spinaker) and RS Feva (Sport Rig)
- The Rookie Fleet coaching and games to develop your sailing.

This is an RYA event and is not part of the Squadron 13 programme so entry fees payable to the RYA will apply.
A great opportunity for all Squadron 13 sailors to be part of this Championships being hosted by our own club right here in Torquay. If you are hoping to use a club boat please check availability first with Lydia Crossan and ensure you know the correct sail number before entering. Those wishing to enter the Rookie Fleet will not be required to book a club boat as all club Qba’s have been allocated to the that fleet as part of our agreement with the RYA. Our own Senior Instructors Jamie Crossan and Ian Mills will be working with the RYA coaches on the Rookie Fleet course area.
