Barry Perrins – “Cruising Beyond The Horizon”
Club Members have the opportunity to attend a Speaker Event being organised by the South-West Section of the Cruising Association to take place at the Royal Torbay Yacht Club on Thursday evening, 6th November 2025, from 6pm.
This might seem a little way off at the moment, but our celebrity guest speaker is Barry Perrins, aka the YouTube “Adventures of an Old Sea Dog”, who has over 224K online followers. After a 9-year circumnavigation in his 36ft yacht, White Shadow, has finally returned home to Plymouth on the 25th August this year. No doubt he has many a tale to tell and lessons to share about his adventures!
Tickets are free but must be booked in advance via the Cruising Association. We are limiting numbers to 80 people attending with existing and predicted demand suggesting this number will easily be met. CA Members and Club Members are welcome to attend from 18:00 onwards for drinks and bar food, followed by presentations commencing from 19:30.
