DESCRIPTION:Book your tickets by calling the Office on 01803 292006 \n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Provides the skills and background knowledge needed by the competent powerboat driver and is the basis of the International Certificate of Competence. It aims to teach boat handling and seamanship in powerboats. It focuses on low-speed close quarters handling\, man overboard recovery\, an introduction to driving at planing speed\, and collision regulations. \nCourse pre-requisites: None \nCourse duration: 2 days \nMinimum age: 12 years- \nAlthough RYA Minimum age is 12\, the Royal Torbay Yacht Club would recommend you speak to our Training Principal or Chief Instructor before booking this course for anyone under the age of 15. \nTrainee : Instructor ratio: 1:3 \nProvided with the course: Powerboat Handbook\, Powerboat Logbook and light refreshments \nYou will need: Writing materials\, a recent passport photo (for your powerboat licence)\, appropriate clothing\, buoyancy aid or life jacket (will need to conform to standards)(we have limited number to loan so please get in touch if you need one) \, sun-screen\, packed lunch. \nMember Price £175 \nNon Member Price £250 \nTraining courses are subject to last minute cancellation due to weather\, low uptake\, or unforeseen circumstances. SUMMARY:Junior Dinghy Training (Stages 1-2\, 3 or 4)
DESCRIPTION:Book your tickets by calling the Office on 01803 292006 \n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Stage 1-2: This course will be run using the club single handed dinghy’s (RS Tera and RS Quba)\, It will provide a short introduction to sailing for novices. By the end of the course\, you will have the basic understanding of dinghy sailing techniques and background knowledge. \nStage 3: Information to follow \nStage 4: This course will be run in the club double-handed dinghy’s (RS Feva and RS Quests)\, It will work to consolidate a sailors previous knowledge and by the end of the course you will be able to rig\, and launch your dinghy\, and sail as helm or crew on all points of sail.  \nWe are offering either Stage 1-2\, Stage 3 or Stage 4 during this week – you will be asked at time of booking which course you wish to book. If you are unsure on which stage is suitable for your child\, please email training@rtyc.org detailing your child’s exisiting knowlege and experience. \nTerms and conditions for your training booking can be found here\, by booking it is assumed you accept these terms. \nEquipment Needed\n\nFull wetsuit (ideally)\nWet shoes (or shoes you don’t mind getting wet)\nSpray top\nProperly fitted buoyancy aid (we can provide if a request is made before the training and we have suitable spare)\nTowel and change of clothes\nPacked lunch (you will get an hour for lunch)\nHigh factor sun cream\nCourse logbook (if you have previously attended a course)\n\nWhat we provide\n\nAn RYA National Sailing Scheme Logbook\nAn RYA Stage 1\, 2\,3\, or 4 certificate (assuming pass criteria are met)\n\nIn addition to training\, we will provide the following \nOur maximum Student to Instructor ratio for this course is 6:1. \nPrices: \nMember £175 \nNon Member £225 \nTraining courses are subject to last minute cancellation due to weather\, low uptake\, or unforeseen circumstances.
