RS 200 Nationals 2019
August 5, 2019 - August 9, 2019
Sat Nav TQ1 2RD
As you drive down to the harbourside you will get to the clock tower roundabout. Follow the road so you have the inner harbour on your right hand side. You will come to a gentle bend left (going up the hill), break off right staying at water level and drive towards the barrier (you should have the harvester pub on your left as you arrive at the barrier).
If the Barrier is closed press the intercom button and explain you are here for the event. Drive to the end of the harbourside and you will see the slipway drop down to your right. Unhitch your trailer here, and put it your boat and kit you need into the space you are allocated on arrival. This is a large event and space is tight, so all road based will need to be removed. There will be directions given for where trailers can be taken (at your risk) if you can’t keep them at your accommodation.
Please park your car in the multi-storey car park (carry on up the hill first two rights) asap, the harbour is a public space and has parking enforcement. You can pre-purchase a week long parking ticket see links on the club website for information. These tickets work in all council carparks in the bay.
Registration is in the club house up the steps through the carpark and across the road.
Please note the trailer storage area will only be open on Sunday Afternoon (from 2.30pm)
If possible, please arrive on Sunday, as we have another Championships finishing. If you do arrive on the Saturday leave your boat on your trailer and sort on Sunday.
Boat Parking, Launching and Recovery
Boat Parking will be organised by your Tally Numbers. We have max numbers and as such will be tight on space. Please Please park in your allocated bay. The tally's have been organised by Buddy group so buddies will be parked together.
When launching please form two lines on the slipway with a gap down the middle to allow trolleys back up. Launching will be done in groups of 21 ( 7 Buddy teams). The first group is planned to be released 90 mins before the sheduleded start of the race. As soon as the that group is down the ramp the next group will be released. You will only be given your tally when your group has been released ie as you get on to the slipway. Each day the group released will be rotated so every will have started at each stage. Boats will not be allowed on the slipway unless ready to go. Recovery - Boats will be controlled outside the Harbour and called in batches with there tally numbers being called into shore, if you push in you may not get your trolley delivered. I have organised a team to help with launching and recovery, but it will go a lot smoother if everyone plays by the rules and helps each other out!
Thank-you in advance
