A comprehensive introduction to cruising for inexperienced skippers.
This course equips you with enough knowledge to navigate around familiar waters by day. A basic knowledge of lights is also included, to provide an introduction to night cruising.
Taught over 12 sessions our Day Skipper evening classes provide the ideal way to accommodate a course which is usually a large time commitment around a busy life.

During the course there will be one additional Saturday class, which will be jointly agreed with all the attendees.
|Course Aims||To provide sufficient knowledge to navigate in familiar waters by day with a basic introduction to navigation lights for night cruising.|
|Course Content||The basics of seamanship, essentials of coastal navigation, chartwork, position fixing, plotting a course, weather forecasting, tides, collision regulations, construction and equipment of a cruising boat, emergency and safety procedures and equipment.|
